Flying in from SoCal, the East Coast, or another part of the globe? Driving across the country? No matter where you’re coming from, you’ll feel like you’ve arrived when you take in the fog-shrouded Golden Gate in the early morning and watch the sunset beyond the bay from the top of Coit Tower. Once you’re here, you’ll soon realize the only drawback about San Francisco is how hard it is to leave.

Since travel is always the hardest part of the trip, bookmark this page for a quick reference on the best ways to get to Holiday Inn Golden Gateway.

Where to Park

If you’re driving from out of town or have a rental car, you can park on-site at our self-park lot for $40.00 per night plus tax. Keep in mind the height restriction for our garage is 5'11" and you will enjoy unlimited in and out privileges throughout your stay.

Street parking and offsite garage parking in San Francisco is more difficult to find, but you can use apps like SpotHero to find hourly street, lot, or garage availability.

San Francisco Transportation Guide

Cable cars, trains, trolleys, buses, bikes, scooters - there is no shortage of transportation options in the Golden City. The only issue up for debate is which one is ideal for you? Depending on your sightseeing goals, we have the ideal recommendations! Head on over to our complete San Francisco Transportation Guide for the inside scoop.

San Francisco’s Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART for short!) is always a pleasant surprise to out-of-towners. You’ll avoid Bay Area traffic and you’ll get from either airport to downtown San Francisco in a half hour or less.
